Results for summer series event 3 at Horton Country Park

A warm summer’s evening to enjoy a mix of park and urban orienteering.

Keeping participants on their toes with a third type of scoring system in three events! This event’s score course was odds and evens. There was a high number of permutations of routes – I can’t see much similarity between the chosen routes! For the men, well done to Dan Sullivan for the win (and overall) here (770 points), Ben Toogood close behind in 2nd (700 points) and Damien Hersey in third (680 points). Shout outs to Ian Ditchfield (M65) in 4th (640 points). For the women, Jocelyn Darvill had a great run, as first lady and coming in 8th overall (570 points), followed by Jennifer Sibley 2nd lady (520 points) and Dawn Clifford as 3rd female (360 points).

When looked at from a net points per km basis, at the top were Graham Denney and Dawn Clifford (76 points/km). Next Jocelyn Darvill (74 points/km), then Ian Ditchfield and Jennifer Sibley (73 points/km).
