The London Park Race orienteering series is already underway, with events weekly on Tuesday evenings at parks dotted around London. Details are at The London Park Race Series 2026, and Mole Valley’s contribution is at Nonsuch Park on Tuesday 2 June – details and entry on racesignup.
Mole Valley’s own summer evening series is coming up, with an event weekly June to July. The series is free to MV members and each event costs very little for non-members to enter (entering the whole series? cheaper to become a member!). Like our winter series, it’s app-based (MapRun) and suitable for newcomers, improvers and more experienced orienteers. A great opportunity to take a step up to navigating confidently with a map in parklands. Entries via racesignup. The events in the series are:
- Monday 8 June – Claremont Fan Court School, Esher – details here
- Monday 15 June – Epsom (western urban parks) – details here
- Monday 22 June – The Nower, Dorking – details here
- Thursday 2 July – Ashtead and the Common – details here
- Wednesday 8 July – Horton Country Park, Epsom – details here
- Wednesday 15 July – Oaks Park, Woodmansterne – details here
- and bonus event on Thursday 23 July – Epsom – details here
Also this summer is the annual Greater London Orienteering Summer Series (GLOSS), which neighbouring club LOK coordinate, with each club in the area contributing an event. LOK details for the series here. There are 5 events this year and the series kicks off with MV’s event at Epsom Downs:
