Epsom Street Orienteering event

Well done to everyone who took part in the event on Tuesday, and well done to James Fraser who put on a good course – with plenty of long legs and route choice.

We had to make a last minute decision to void control 52 as the road crossing had been moved by the roadworks going on. This meant that the only way to cross the road after visiting that control would have been back by the start which risked pinging the finish control and ending your run.

Well done to Tim Scarbrough, who managed to get all of the controls with seconds to spare. Dan Sullivan and Mark Bowden finished 2nd and third. Congratulations for another win for Kate Horsman with Abi Frame in second (only missing out by 1 point or 2 seconds!) in the ladies category.

The first finisher in the male over 55s category was John Cross and Jane Lambert was the over 55s female winner.
