MV/GO Training Activity at White Downs

This is part of our series of GoMole training events. They are relaxed, friendly events perfect for newcomers, including families and those looking to improve their orienteering skills. They are free to members of Mole Valley and Guildford orienteering clubs and £4 for non-members.

There will be two courses designed for newcomers, with volunteers able to accompany them if desired.

There will also be three improver courses  – this time these will be focussed on improving your ‘control flow’. We will be following up on our IOF symbol learning from the last training by practicing reading control descriptions while moving so please bring a descriptions holder if you have one. There will also be  ‘map memory’ and ‘planning ahead’ courses.

Meet at the far end of the White Down Car Park for a 12 noon start (W3W of car park entrance = poem.update.loudly,  meeting point and start/finish is at the far end of the car park at  W3W: focus.candle.went).  Please wear warm, comfortable clothing, with full leg cover (no shorts!) and shoes with grip. Bring water and any snacks/lunch you need and a compass if you have one (we can lend you one if not).
