DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening’s orienteering in Cheam Park and Nonsuch Park\, former deer hunting park established by Henry VIII. Food and route comparison in the Ye Olde Red Lion afterwards! Part of the London Park Race series\, with weekly orienteering on Tuesdays between May and July – full details here. \n\n\n\n\nCourses \n\n\nLong (approx. 5km)\, Short (approx. 3km) \n\n\n\nVenue \n\n\nBag drop (items left at your own risk)\, download and food/refreshments at Ye Olde Red Lion Pub\, 17 Park Road\, Cheam\, SM3 8QB \nStart tapes from the pub – Start location is what.3.words ///doctor.adjust.looked – you can go straight to the Start if you do not require bag drop or SI-hire but everyone MUST return to the pub after your run to Download. \n\n\n\n\nPublic Transport \n\n\nPub is a 12-minute walk from Cheam Station\, with regular trains from London Victoria. DESCRIPTION:Morden Hall Park comprises 50 ha of former deer park spanning the River Wandle. This historic estate is owned and managed by the National Trust.\n \nFormer deer park with historic stables\, mill & other buildings. Bisected by many channels of the River Wandle (which must be crossed only at bridges). Small areas of woodland. Full leg cover advised – you will encounter nettles & long grass. \nShort (c 2.5k) or Long (c 4.2k) courses are available. NB Actual running distances will be further. \n  \nEntry Fees\nSenior: £5.00/£7.00\nSenior Chip hire: £1.00\nJunior/Student: £3.00/£3.00\nJunior/Student Chip hire: £1.00 \nJuniors are under 21 on 31st December. \nEntry fees are £5 for members of British orienteering and £7 for non-members. Students and U21s £3 . You will need an SI card to record your time. Toilets at Hackbridge station may be open. \nTravel: Hackbridge station (1km). Buses on both Croydon and London Roads. Limited parking spaces adjacent to the Pavilion Café and competitors are encouraged to use the car park behind the cottages on Church Road. Other parking on Church Road\, and two other car parks\, one off Croydon Road and another off London Road. All parking is shared with the public\, so please be considerate when parking. \nEntry: Enter up to the day on Racesignup Senior £6 (non-member £8). Junior/Student £3.
