It was good to see so many people out on a Tuesday evening. Nonsuch is very pleasant this time of year if you can stay out of the nettles � hope you all enjoyed it. There were a couple of small hitches � Nesting Skylarks signs (and indeed nesting skylarks � hundreds of them) appeared 3 days before the event which required some rejigging, and the 35 kites I thought I�d taken along had turned into 28 by the time we put them out, so controls 2 and 3 comprised Sainsbury�s bags for a while �. Control 12 was disturbed for a few minutes � many thanks to the gentleman (I think it was Chris Wroe) who took time out to replace it.

Ian D�s route was 29 30 2 3 1 12 10 11 22 9 8 27 26 13 14 15 23 24 25 16 17 18 28 19 20 4 21 5 6 7, which I think was better than the one I had in mind. For us mere mortals, I reckon the best plan was to go for 26 27 15 23 24 25 and as many on the way there and back as you had energy for�.
