A note from the organiser
The fourth and final event in Mole Valley
Orienteering Club Saturday Series introduced electronic punching, produced
a record turn out and gave us the winners of the three leagues. Not bad
for a Saturday in October.
Over 57 runners enjoyed the event,
with a record turn out in every class. 40 of these new to the Series! The
electronic punching was a great success, allowing competitors a stressless
start, easy punching (especially in the cold) and result times &
splits.
Well done Jeff Jones, Neil Lewis
and Andriy Malchyk for winning their events, all in great times (It‘s a
bit frightening to see the winner of Light Green only three minutes behind
the winner of the Yellow course).
Also well done the MacDonald
family, Matt Goddard and Justin Farhall. Bad luck for Samantha Martin
whose mis-punch on the final day lost her the second place on the Orange
League.
